A
name Nitish Rana is now the buzz of the town. In 2017, a very few cricket fans
know about but within the 10 days of IPL season 2018; almost everyone has been
started to praise Nitish Rana for his wonderful style of batting and bowling.
Till date, KKR played 3 matches and out of them, Nitish played a significant
role in 2 matches against DD and RCB.
The
two-time champion Kolkata Knight Riders bought him for INR 3.4 crore, but as he
has been playing in this season; it seems like a bargain. This left-handed
batsman did a special job for several times in last 3 matches with his
extra-ordinary batting, bowling and fielding.
Nitish Rana - A Danger for Opponent Teams
Opponent
Teams have been started making a strategy for Nitish Rana after showing his
performance in last matches. Who can forget the performance of Rana against
RCB? Once AB De Villiers and Virat Kohli both were smashing hard and spin the
scoreboard very fast. At that time, Dinesh put trust on Nitish and gave a ball
to him. He did well and got both of them out in just one over. Then after the
planning of RCB was vanished and scored only 176 while the expected was 200+.
And also he contributed 34 runs in just 25 balls and set the way clear for KKR
win.
He
said in the press conference “My job is to score runs. I don’t see that as
pressure. It’s good that people are expecting more from me having done well
last season. I love to bat under pressure, you are aware of the situations
around you,”
In
the last match against DD, Rana was selected as a Man of the Match (scored 59
runs off 35 balls) including five boundaries and four Yes Bank Maximum. The
pitch was not for the batsmen as they want but this 24-years old young boy
adjusted to the situation & started to spin the scoreboard rapidly.
Unfortunately, he was got out by Morris in the 19th over.
Once
he said that “I had nothing to lose, but everything to gain.” And also behaving
like this statement. He never feels under pressurized but keeps the bowlers
under pressure after hitting the boundaries in the first or second of an over.

- Rana debut in first-class matches in 2015-16. Before being a storming batsman, he has already a great reputation for being an agile bowler.
- Nitish was bought by MI for INR 10 lac only before IPL 2015 but couldn’t get a chance to play a single inning in that season.
- He played only matches for MI in 2016 and scored 104 runs and the highest score was 70.
- Gautam Gambhir was interested to include him DD team and Gautam has criticised KP Bhaskar (DD Coach) for dropping Nitish Rana from DD’s team.
If
he keeps his current performance level during this season of IPL; he will be
the next K L Rahul (sold at 11 Cr. to KXIP) in the IPL season 12 and will be
sold at 10+ Crore.
